George Andrew PATERSON

George was born in Battersea on the 23rd Feb 1890 (baptism St. Mary Battersea on 9 May), the son James Gardner Paterson, a mason, and Mary Ann (nee Roulett / Rowlett). 

George married Amy (nee Tookey) in 1910 in Fulham.

He worked for the Fulham Council when he signed up. During WW2 he was alocal ARP warden. Later in life he was a gardener at the Fulham Palace Gardens.

He lived in latter years at 19 Edgarly Terrace, Fulham. George died in 1976.

Two of his brothers signed up in August '14 at Fulham, neither of whom were to survive the war. Also a first cousin Alexander Frederick Paterson (see his listing). The family all being Fulham based back then.
