William Denby - London 25th Regt

The following postcard was bought on Ebay in 2017. It shows the 25th County Of London Cyclist Battalion Headquarters in Fulham, London. The reverse of the postcard identifies the sender as William Denby. He is not in the medal cards for the 25th Londons. He either did not serve overseas, or he was transferred to another regiment which was not noted on his medal card (this was common). There is a William Denby in the medal cards serving in the Army Cyclist Corps, it is possible that he is the same person.

The postcard was addressed to a Mrs. W. Denby in Dorking, Surrey. In the 1911 census there is a William Denby born ca. 1890 living in Dorking with his parents, but they are Isaac and Emily Denby which doesn't tally with the Mrs. W.
