Albert was born 25th March 1891 at in Bethnal Green, East London. Parents were James Thomas Buckley, a coal box japanner (1901 census) and Clara Elizabeth nee Holmes. He died 8th November 1976 in Lewisham Hospital.

Albert was in the Concert Party in India, called 'The Versatiles'. He had a good voice, and was in demand at parties and family gatherings. His favourite song being Sophia Tucker's "Some of These Days".

Albert is the father of Doris Hennessy who supplied the information and photos.
