    Anonymous ms diary (16pp) of a soldier serving in the 1/25th Battalion London Regiment (London Cyclists) en route for India, 5 January - 9 March 1917, describing their voyage from Plymouth with an armed escort via Sierra Leone, Durban, Bombay to Risalpin, India, while providing good details of life on board ship, the insanitary conditions, fever, meagreness of food and rations, and the sole distractions of porpoises and marine life.
